Large Black and Red Indented Vessel - 10.5" x 8" x 17.5"

This unique vessel is made from a iron red earthenware clay. The stoneware vessel was thrown on the potters wheel, altered, bisque fired, then sprayed with a black stain that lets the texture of the clay show through. A red glaze was applied on the interior and down the strip on the exterior. It is oxidation fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. This piece could be used as a large vase or placed in your home simply as an object of art.
