Large Blue and Black Gradient Spiral Vessel - 16" x 12" x 8"

This unique vessel is made from a iron red earthenware clay. The stoneware vessel was thrown on the potters wheel, altered, bisque fired, then sprayed with a  black, dark blue and light blue gradient stain. Stains, as apposed to glazed, allow the texture of the clay to show through. It is oxidation fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. This piece could be used as a large vase or placed in your home simply as an object of art.
