Medium Gray and Red Undulating Vessel - 11" x 11" x 11"

This unique handmade vessel is made from an iron red earthenware clay. The stoneware vessel was made by a modified thrown bowl, bisque fired, then sprayed with a gray stain on the exterior and a red glaze on the interior. Stain, as opposed to glaze, is used to allow the applied texture to show through. It is oxidation fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. All of my ceramic pieces are food, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
