Tall Blue and Brown Indented Vessel - 7.75" x 7" x 23"

This unique vessel is made from a iron red earthenware clay. The stoneware vessel was thrown on the potters wheel, altered, bisque fired, then sprayed with a dark and light blue stain letting the texture of the clay show through. A greenish brown glaze was applied on the interior and down the strip on the exterior. It is oxidation fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. This piece could be used as a large vase or placed in your home simply as an object of art.
 
This piece has a small crack on the bottom that was sealed by the glaze that melted during firing, as shown in the image of the bottom. This piece does hold water and is priced with this defect in mind.
