Tall Grey Green Undulating Vessel - 12" x 12" x 17"

This beautifully unique vessel is made from iron red earthenware clay. The stoneware vessel was thrown on the potters wheel, altered and sculpted to its existing shape, bisque fired, then sprayed with a gray and green stains. Stain, as opposed to glaze, was used in order for the intentional texture to show through. A clear satin glaze was added to the piece so as to give it a light shimmer. It is oxidation fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. This piece could be used as a large vase or placed in your home simply as an object of art.
