Undulating Scalloped Blue Vessel - 9" x 8" x 11"

This unique vessel is made from a iron red earthenware clay. The stoneware vessel was thrown on the potters wheel, altered, bisque fired, then sprayed with a dark blue and ligt blue stain gradient. Stain, as apposed to glazed, allows the surface texture of the clay to show through. It is oxidation fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. This piece could be used as a large vase or placed in your home simply as an object of art.
